This has been most enjoyable. This has been a very professional, thoughtful and valuable seminar. I loved the WEBINAR format, it made it a comfortable learning experience as I could be at home, and didn’t have to travel anywhere, yet it was given with professionalism of punctuality and content.
Mr. Camacho provided very well prepared and suitable texts for translation which taught important points necessary to a good translation. Being a professional translator himself, he imparted years of practical experience to us in a very organized and easy to learn fashion, including what makes a reliable translation and the online and off line research tools and dictionaries available for use to achieve this goal.
He gave us practical experience looking things up on line to achieve the translations we were working on so we learned how to do use these tools in the class. All without being overwhelming or frenetic: learning took place at good pace and the subjects kept my interest. I would rate these classes as 10 on everything.

The instructor led course I took was “Interpreting for Mexican Defendants”. I was expecting it to be a little more challenging, and will probably opt for the Sight Translation of California Codes next time. Mr. Camacho was very professional in giving the class, even when some participants were somewhat disruptive. The non-instructor led material was difficult, but very beneficial.

Let’s Talk Mexican workbook
This is a very enjoyable class that will also be a useful resource for
years to come. Many of the terms are essential for court interpreters in
California. The workbook is also well designed and searchable. I will
definitely keep this workbook on hand for these terms are difficult to
translate.
Translation for Interpreters–General
This class is very useful for interpreters. While many of us primarily work
as interpreters, it is important to maintain sharp translating skills as
well, especially in specialized fields such as law and business. The sample
source-language segments in the class were challenging and pertinent. My
only suggestion for improvement is that maybe the instructor could have
sample translations already prepared to share with students after we took a
stab at translating the segments.
